A Training Layoff is an initiative by the CCMA, Department of Labour & SARS, for Companies showing some kind of distress, motivated and applied for, assistance in terms of grant available by the National Skills Fund. The aim is to assist both Companies (to keep their doors open) and staff (ensuring jobs) and this is done with accredited, recognised training, learnerships.

Staff participating in the training is voluntary. CTE consults on how to get the employees on board, keep them on board and excite them by ensuring a National Qualification on program close off.

What type of training applies?

  • Various training options may apply, depending on the nature of business, the position of workers whose jobs are at risk & the future economic opportunities for the employer.
  • Menu of training options may include apprenticeship, learnerships or shorter skills programs.

In conclusion, the CTE is an opportunity for 99% of companies in South Africa, to receive a cash injection and upskill their staff.

Unemployed Leanership

A Leadership is a program that allows suitable students or unemployment graduates to obtain opportunities to learn more than just classroom-based learning. In other word, repairing learners to obtain a clear understanding about the necessary business know how’s to master and widen their path for employment opportunity.

Our unemployed learnership programs are structured, short term contractual interventions which encourage job creation and promote talent development.

Learners who take part in these programs will benefit from gaining critical, functional and Behavioral competencies which contribute significantly to the learner’s employment marketability. On completion of these programs and respective academic studies, many of the participating learners transition into full time employees.

We partner with various SETA’s to ensure that the Skills Development Strategies are aligned. We also recruit learners as per the client’s needs.
